Full braces are used on adults for simple to complicated problems.
Although most orthodontics in the past were done by heavy force systems. A recent trend is applying light force systems to straighten teeth. Here at our office we use very light wires and light forces to straighten teeth. The brackets we use have a special design to hold the wires, with a free-sliding technology.
Light force orthodontic systems, used for years, show that you don't have to apply heavy forces to straighten teeth. With light forces, we find our patients have much less discomfort.
Further we often find that that our cases finish quicker with light force orthodontics. This translates to shorter treatment times and less appointments.
