we feel confident that our treatments will go beyond your expectations. If you have any questions regarding these procedures, please feel free to contact us via email or by calling our office during regular office hours.
Restorative Dental Procedures:
Root Canal Treatment | For many years teeth that had an infected or diseased nerve had to be extracted. Now we can save approximately 95% of these cases with root canal treatment. At Dr. Mocrae’s office we believe in saving teeth instead of removing them so that you have a happier, healthier, natural smile for a lifetime.
Crown | Crowns are generally used to strengthen, restore, or improve the appearance of your natural teeth.
Bridge | A bridge is a fixed (non-removable) structure that is used to replace a missing tooth or missing teeth. A bridge is usually porcelain fused to metal and helps to prevent shifting and over eruption of teeth.
Full and Partial Dentures | A denture is ideal for the replacement of a single tooth, multiple teeth, or if you are missing all of your teeth. Replacing your missing teeth will help by holding up the facial muscles, help with speech, chewing, swallowing, and smiling.
Gingivectomy | A gingivectomy is a procedure that is used to remove excess gum tissue from the front surface of your teeth.
Bone Grafting | Bone grafting material is used for treatment of periodontal defects, tooth extraction sites, and sinus elevation grafting. Bone graft material is saturated in sterile saline solution and placed into the surgical site. Once the site has been filled, we then place a liquid band-aid which will help seal off the site until the gum tissue heals.
Implants | A dental implant is a metal post made of titanium placed surgically in to the jawbone. Once placed the post integrates with the patients bone.
Laser Gum (Periodontal) Therapy | Laser therapy is used to treat gum disease. After removing tarter a laser is used to remove diseased or infected tissues lining the pockets around your teeth. Treatment can help revive or rejuvenate tissue attachment. Most patients indicate there is no more discomfort with this than typical dental cleaning.
Cosmetic Dental Procedures:
Tooth Coloured (White) Fillings | For many decades silver (mercury) fillings have been used. Teeth that have been restored with silver fillings often give the appearance of a darkened or gray tooth. Our dental office provides patients with an alternative to these silver fillings.
Twinky Star (Children's Coloured Fillings) | Twinky star is a great incentive for your child to stay calm while having fillings done. Twinky Star has six fun, adventurous colours for your child to choose from such as: Passionate Pink, Shamrock Green, Sunrise Yellow, Blazin’ Blue, Electric Orange, and Sparkly Silver. Twinky star coloured fillings help to add a unique, personal touch to customize your child’s smile. These fillings are mercury free.
Laser Whitening | Laser whitening is a simple, hassle free appointment. The LaserSmile laser used in our office uses state of the art TCIA (Target Chromophere In-Phase Accelerated Activation) whitening technology.
Veneers (Lumineers) | A veneer is a thin translucent shell that is made out of porcelain. Veneers are placed on front teeth to help improve their appearance (ie. colour, size, shape). Veneers will help to give you the beautiful, fuller hollywood smile you want.
Functional Appliances | Functional appliances help change the jaw position and growth, giving more favorable position of upper and lower jaws, and wider tooth arches.
Full Braces | Full braces are used for simple to complicated problems. New to this procedure is the introduction of LightForce systems.
Invisalign | Invisalign is an orthodontic technique designed to straighten teeth as an alternative to braces.
